Training overview:
Your training experience will be immersive and hands-on, starting with early morning ground handling sessions to refine your control of the paraglider in calm conditions. As the day heats up, we’ll break, then return for ground school to explore flight theory, safety protocols, and assess your progress. Each step of the way, we’ll evaluate your ground handling skills, providing personalized feedback to help you improve.

In the evening, we’ll return to hands-on practice, with another round of ground handling followed by skill assessments, ensuring you’re mastering control and confidence. The core of our training is teaching you how to handle your paraglider with precision, guiding you through the techniques needed to take off, fly, and land safely and effectively.

You’ll also work with our paramotor simulator and motor lean-backs, which gives you a real feel for how the paramotor throttle responds and what it’s like to be harnessed to your paraglider. This is a crucial step in helping you understand how the equipment works in flight.

Once you've demonstrated a solid understanding and safe handling of the paraglider and paramotor, we’ll move forward to the most exciting part of your training—your first solo flights! We'll ensure you get as many flights as possible throughout your training. With careful guidance, we’ll make sure you're fully prepared and confident when it's time to take to the skies.

Location:
Training is based out of Linwood Michigan and at Jack Barstow Airport in Midland Michigan.
Basics of ground handling, motor simulations, class work, and general information will be done at home base in Linwood. This is also the location of the lodging for students. We will only schedule up to 3 students per training for a more one on one experience for every student.
More ground handling, and flights will be at the Jack Barstow Airport.

Safety is the number one priority for all of our students.
If you cannot prove you are able and safe enough to fly, you will not fly until you can show you have built up the skills to do so.
Just like passing any class, the students must prove they are able to understand all aspects of flying, or for their own safety, they will not fly until they can show they have built up the skills to do so.
