Training Policy

Payment, scheduling, attendance, weather, equipment, documents, and class-reservation terms for Metal Sky High Powered Paragliding School.

Effective date: September 24, 2026

Standard course tuition is $3,300. An $800 non-refundable deposit reserves an approved class date. The remaining standard balance is due before or at the first day of training. Any discount specifically approved by Metal Sky High will appear on the student’s invoice and reduce the total and remaining balance. All training payments are non-refundable.

Payment methods

Training payments may be made through the secure online invoice checkout, by cash, or by check. For cash, call or text (810) 498-8750 to arrange payment; do not mail cash.

Make checks payable to Metal Sky High Powered Paragliding School LLC and mail them to:
910 S. Garfield Rd
Linwood, MI 48634

Include the student name and invoice number with a check. Call or text before paying offline to confirm class availability. A class is reserved only after the payment is received and recorded.

Class reservations and capacity

A published class is reserved only after the required deposit has been received. A custom-date request is not a reservation until Metal Sky High approves the dates, issues the training invoice, and receives the required deposit. Standard classes are limited to three students unless Metal Sky High sets a different capacity for a specific class.

Eight-day course and attendance

The course is scheduled as an eight-day training program. Students are expected to arrive on time, follow instructor directions, participate safely, and communicate promptly if travel or attendance plans change.

Weather and training progress

Powered-paragliding instruction is weather dependent. Wind, precipitation, field conditions, equipment condition, student readiness, and other safety considerations may change the daily schedule. Metal Sky High may pause, move, reschedule, or extend instruction when conditions are not suitable.

Up to four weather-missed training sessions are included for completing the course requirements. If more instruction is needed after those included makeup sessions, additional instruction is available at $200 per four-hour session.

School equipment

School training equipment is provided for the course unless a different written arrangement is made. Students must use equipment only as instructed and immediately report damage, unusual operation, or safety concerns.

Required documents and photo ID

After the deposit is paid, the student must complete the required Metal Sky High training document packet before training begins. A valid photo ID must either be uploaded through the private student page or shown before training. An online ID upload is optional; uploaded files are stored privately and are not sent as email attachments.

Prep Portal and private student page

Deposit-paid students receive Prep Portal access for pre-arrival learning. Each request or booking also has a private student page showing class dates, invoice and payment history, balance, required-document status, photo-ID choices, and relevant links. Students are responsible for keeping those private links and login information secure.

Safety and instructor authority

The instructor has final authority over whether conditions, equipment, and student performance are suitable for an activity or flight. Training may be stopped or modified when continuing would be unsafe. Students must follow all safety directions and must not operate equipment without authorization.
